Once again making headlines, popular Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt has spoken openly about his desire to return home — but with a big condition attached.

Now based abroad, Rajab Butt appeared recently on fellow YouTuber Nadir Ali’s podcast, where he candidly discussed his current circumstances, future plans, and the controversy that forced him into exile. The influencer, who left Pakistan following backlash over alleged blasphemy — accusations he has consistently denied — says he’s emotionally ready to return but is still waiting on a go-ahead from certain “high-level authorities”.

“Insha’Allah, I will come back. Why wouldn’t I? It’s my country,” he said during the podcast. “I’ll return the moment I get clearance from some key figures. That’s all I’m waiting for.”

Rajab Butt revealed that he's currently in Dubai, with plans to travel to Qatar and then the UK, where his family and close friends are already settled. But Pakistan, he stressed, remains his true home.

During the conversation, he directly addressed the controversial allegations that sparked a wave of online criticism and legal pressure, saying, “I never did anything of the sort. Everyone who knows me knows I could never think or act in that way. I come from a believing household. Even the thought of such a thing is impossible for me.”

In an emotionally charged moment, he also extended an apology — not for any wrongdoing, he insisted, but for any unintended hurt his words may have caused.

“I’ve apologised in front of Holy Kaaba and I’m apologising here too,” he said. “This isn’t about coming back to Pakistan. If I’m guilty, punish me. If I’m innocent, let me go. But if someone was hurt, I’m truly sorry.”

The digital creator emphasised that his return depends solely on receiving permission from “high command”. Until then, he remains in limbo, hopeful yet cautious.
