Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Headquarters on Monday, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the Defence Minister, and Chiefs of Pakistan's Armed Forces.

The visit highlighted Pakistan’s firm resolve to protect its national interests amid increasingly complex regional dynamics and growing Indian aggression.

During the briefing at ISI HQ, the Prime Minister and the accompanying ministers were updated on the country’s current security environment. Special attention was given to India’s escalating hostile behavior and its implications for Pakistan’s national security. Intelligence officials outlined comprehensive readiness plans to counter any potential threats arising from India’s provocative actions.

The leadership was also briefed on broader regional security trends, including emerging threats like conventional military escalations, hybrid warfare tactics, and the use of terrorist proxies. These insights underscored the importance of proactive defense measures in today’s rapidly evolving geopolitical climate.

Commending ISI’s strategic foresight and operational excellence, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the agency’s crucial role in enabling informed national security decisions and safeguarding Pakistan’s core interests in challenging times.

“The entire nation stands united behind our brave armed forces,” PM Shehbaz said. “Pakistan Army is among the most professional and disciplined militaries in the world. Our intelligence community’s seamless coordination and operational readiness are vital to protecting our sovereignty.”

The Prime Minister emphasized the need for unwavering synergy among intelligence and security agencies to effectively deter and respond to any threat to Pakistan’s territorial integrity. He reaffirmed that any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with a decisive and resolute response.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the political leadership reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to defend the homeland against all forms of threats. They assured that with the full backing of the people, the armed forces and state institutions are fully prepared to uphold the nation’s security, dignity, and honor under any circumstances.
