In a major announcement, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi declared that Saudi citizens no longer require a visa to enter Pakistan—they are welcome anytime.

He made this statement during a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, in Islamabad.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Interior, began with a warm welcome for the Saudi envoy. Both sides discussed a wide range of topics, including mutual interests, strengthening bilateral ties, and enhancing cooperation—especially in areas like anti-narcotics and immigration control.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continued support in Pakistan’s social and economic development. He particularly appreciated the Saudi delegation’s participation in the Gulf Cooperation Council’s anti-narcotics conference.

Highlighting future goals, the Interior Minister stated that Pakistan is eager to expand its collaboration with Saudi Arabia in combating drug trafficking and human smuggling. He also acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s role in facilitating the release and repatriation of an innocent Pakistani family.

Naqvi further mentioned that authorities are tightening the noose around the beggar mafia, and new passport regulations are being introduced to curb illegal immigration.

On his part, Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki reiterated the strong and historic bond between the two nations and emphasised that Saudi Arabia is committed to deepening its relationship with Pakistan even further.
