Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Thursday after falling for five consecutive trading sessions, with the rate of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs3,600 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA)

The price of 24-karat gold climbed to Rs433,836 per tola, while the rate for 10 grams increased by Rs3,086 to Rs371,944. Meanwhile, 22-karat gold also recorded a rise of Rs2,829 per 10 grams, reaching Rs340,961.

The increase in local gold prices followed gains in the international bullion market, where gold prices rose by $36 per ounce to $4,113.

Silver prices, however, remained unchanged. The price of silver stood at Rs6,421 per tola and Rs5,504 per 10 grams, while the international silver rate was recorded at $59.42 per ounce.

The latest rates were issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, with domestic gold prices calculated according to interbank exchange rates.
