Punjab Allows Kite-Making in Four More Districts Alongside Lahore

Web Desk: The Punjab Cabinet has granted permission to manufacture kite-flying materials in four additional districts along with Lahore. The approval comes under the Punjab Regulation of Kite Flying Act 2025.

According to the issued notification, Faisalabad, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and Multan are now allowed to produce kite-making materials.

Manufacturers in these districts must register with the respective Deputy Commissioner. All manufacturers will complete their registration online through the Government of Punjab e-Biz Portal.

Registered manufacturers will be allowed to produce kites and threads in accordance with kite-flying rules. They may only sell kites and threads to traders or sellers registered in Lahore.

The manufactured kites and threads can be sold in Lahore only for use on 6th, 7th, and 8th February. Production from these four districts cannot be sold in any other district besides Lahore.
