Punjab government has not canceled any Basant events, says Azma Bukhari

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has stated that the Punjab government has not canceled any Basant-related events.

According to details, Azma Bukhari released a statement on social media saying the government did not cancel any Basant event. She clarified that no official plan for celebrating Basant at the government level was finalized, and permission to celebrate was given only to the public.

She added that the Punjab government allowed Basant so that people could celebrate the festival from their rooftops. Every rooftop can celebrate Basant, and the government’s role is only to ensure SOPs are followed.

Azma Bukhari emphasized that the government wants Basant to be safe so people can enjoy this beautiful festival.
