Aik News:The National Peace Message Committee (Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee) held a press conference at the Governor House, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the province was selected as the first priority due to being the most affected by terrorism.
Addressing the media, Chairman Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has suffered the most from terrorism, which is why the committee began its efforts from here. He stated that Paigham-e-Pakistan represents the strongest national consensus after the Constitution and reflects the unified stance of the entire nation.
Religious scholars from all schools of thought unanimously declared terrorism as un-Islamic, emphasizing that Islam has no connection with violence or extremism. The committee reiterated that Paigham-e-Pakistan is a foundational document for peace, unity, and national harmony.
The religious leadership expressed complete solidarity with the state and national institutions, particularly the armed forces of Pakistan. They demanded that Afghanistan play its role in ensuring peace in Pakistan, noting that most terrorist incidents are linked to cross-border elements.
The committee announced that it will visit areas where peace is under threat and also declared that Friday will be observed nationwide as “Paigham-e-Pakistan Day.” The members reaffirmed their commitment to playing a key role in establishing peace across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Mufti Abdul Rahim said that supporting the enemies of Pakistan is an act worse than that of the Khawarij. He termed the struggle against the Khawarij as rightful and justified, declared the Pakistan Armed Forces as protectors of Islam and peace, and said that supporting them is a religious duty.
The scholars emphasized that Islam is a religion of peace and love, declared the killing of any innocent person as strictly forbidden (haram), and described the struggle against disorder and extremism as Jihad-e-Akbar (the greatest struggle).
