Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim announced his separation from his wife, Sania Ashfaq, on Sunday, December 28, sharing a detailed statement on social media.

In his message, he explained that after years of unresolved conflicts, he had decided to file for divorce and requested privacy during this difficult time.

In response, Sania Ashfaq issued her own statement on Instagram, offering her perspective on the breakdown of their marriage.

She revealed that a third party’s involvement played a key role in ending their union. Writing from a place of deep pain, she said, “My home has been broken, and my children have been left without their father. I am a mother of three, including a five-month-old infant who has yet to be held by his father. This is not a story I wished to share, but silence should never be mistaken for weakness.”

Sania emphasized that she remained devoted as a wife and mother, making every effort to preserve the family.

She disclosed enduring emotional pain, mistreatment, and feelings of abandonment while pregnant, yet remained patient for the sake of her children and family dignity.

She also stated that the divorce is legally disputed and expressed hope that the truth would emerge through proper channels.
