The Pakistan Army’s top leadership has reaffirmed its firm resolve that no political or malicious agenda aimed at weakening national unity, security, or stability will be tolerated, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.
This resolve was expressed during the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference held at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, chaired by Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
At the outset, the forum offered Fateha for the martyrs of the Pakistan Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians who lost their lives in recent terrorist attacks while defending the country against foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to the courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of the armed forces and praised their consistent conduct in intelligence-based counterterrorism operations carried out across the country in recent months.
He noted that, through the combined efforts of the government, the military, and the unwavering support of the Pakistani people, the country is steadily moving toward stability, increased opportunities, and greater international respect.
The conference conducted a comprehensive review of the internal and external security situation, with particular focus on emerging threats and operational preparedness. Participants reiterated that terrorists operating under Indian sponsorship, along with their facilitators and abettors, would be dealt with decisively and without exception.
The forum also categorically rejected the nexus between terrorism, criminal activity, and vested political interests, emphasizing that no attempt would be allowed to create divisions between the armed forces and the people of Pakistan.
Participants appreciated the Balochistan Special Development Initiatives aimed at empowering local communities and improving governance to counter terrorism, and stressed the need to replicate similar public-focused initiatives elsewhere in line with the National Action Plan to ensure lasting peace and stability.
The forum reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination and reiterated the country’s principled stance on the Palestine issue. It called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza, and a credible pathway toward the establishment of a Palestinian state.
In his concluding remarks, Field Marshal Asim Munir directed commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, physical fitness, technological innovation, and battlefield adaptability. He expressed full confidence in the Pakistan Army’s ability to counter the full spectrum of threats—conventional, sub-conventional, hybrid, and asymmetric—while safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
