Pakistan’s political landscape stirred once again after former DG ISI Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed was handed a 14-year rigorous imprisonment sentence by a military court.
The decision prompted a sharp reaction from Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, who linked Pakistan’s current challenges to what he described as the “seeds sown” by former military leadership.
In a post shared on X along with the ISPR statement announcing the conviction, Khawaja Asif said the nation would continue to bear the consequences of actions taken under General Faiz Hameed and former Army Chief Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa. The minister remarked that the country would “reap the harvest of the seeds they planted for years to come,” emphasizing how deeply those decisions had affected Pakistan’s political and institutional fabric.

اللہ کی عطا سمجھ کے اس کی مخلوق کے لئے استعمال کی توفیق عطا فرماۓ۔ خوف خدا حکمرانوں کا شیوہ بنے۔۔ آمین
