Former intelligence chief Faiz Hameed has been sentenced to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

The military’s media wing stated that a Field General Court Martial was initiated against Faiz Hameed on August 12, 2024, under the Pakistan Army Act, after a 15-month legal process.

Faiz Hameed faced charges on four counts, including engaging in political activities, violating the Official Secrets Act in ways detrimental to state security, misuse of authority and government resources, and causing wrongful loss to individuals.
