Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir has vowed to eliminate all India-backed proxies operating in Balochistan, declaring that elements such as Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij are spreading anti-people and anti-development agendas with the intent to destabilize Pakistan’s most resource-rich province.

Speaking to participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Tuesday, Field Marshal Munir said that every possible action is being taken to root out terrorism and restore lasting peace in the province. “All necessary measures are in place to pursue these terrorists and rid Balochistan of this menace,” he affirmed.

The army chief emphasized that Balochistan is the pride of Pakistan, home to resilient and patriotic people who are the true wealth of the nation. He appreciated the ongoing efforts of both the federal and provincial governments to uplift the province’s socio-economic landscape through people-centric development initiatives.

Highlighting the region’s untapped potential, Field Marshal Munir urged continued collaboration between civil and military institutions to ensure sustainable growth. He particularly acknowledged the constructive role of civil society and the youth, noting that empowering young people is crucial to counter divisive agendas and ensure the long-term prosperity of Balochistan.

Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, the army chief issued a strong warning that any violation of the country’s territorial integrity—whether direct or indirect—would be met with a “firm and decisive” response.
