Legendary Bollywood actor Govardhan Asrani, lovingly known as Asrani, passed away in Mumbai at the age of 84, leaving behind a legacy that has brightened Indian cinema for over five decades.

Known for his iconic comic timing and heartfelt performances, Asrani brought laughter, warmth, and depth to every role he played.

According to reports, the veteran actor had been battling a prolonged illness and was admitted to Bharatiya Arogya Nidhi Hospital in Juhu just days before his passing due to fluid accumulation in his lungs.

His final rites were performed quietly at the Santacruz Crematorium, honoring his last wish for simplicity and privacy.

Before his passing, Asrani had told his wife, Manju, not to turn his death into a public spectacle — a testament to his humility and grace.

Born in Jaipur, Asrani’s career spanned more than 350 films, leaving an indelible mark through his humor, humanity, and unforgettable presence on screen.
