In a surprising acknowledgment, American broadcating outlet CNN has credited Pakistan’s military and diplomatic strategy for significantly elevating the nation’s global reputation and influence.

The report highlights that Pakistan’s effective diplomatic engagement and strong military leadership have not only enhanced its regional importance but also reshaped its relations with major powers, particularly the United States.

In an analytical piece aired on CNN, senior analyst Fareed Zakaria noted that “President Trump has unexpectedly shifted his policy direction between the United States and India.” The network reported that while Trump was earlier viewed as close to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his stance has now changed—showing admiration for Pakistan’s leadership, particularly Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

During a recent conference in Egypt, President Trump reportedly referred to Asim Munir as his “favorite field marshal.” CNN further stated that U.S.-Pakistan relations have entered a new phase of cooperation, especially after both nations signed a tariff agreement in July and announced joint ventures related to Pakistan’s vast oil reserves.

The report emphasized that Washington now considers Pakistan a credible military partner, recognizing the country’s operational strength and strategic influence. This growing recognition, CNN noted, has also inspired Saudi Arabia to strengthen defense cooperation with Islamabad through a new security pact.
