Trump Offers to Mediate Pakistan-Afghanistan Peace, Calls It ‘An Easy One to Solve’

In yet another bold statement on global diplomacy, U.S. President Donald Trump has offered to mediate peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan, claiming that resolving the conflict between the two neighboring nations would be “the easiest thing” for him to do.

Speaking at the White House during a joint appearance with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump described himself as a “solver of wars,” boasting that he had already helped ease several international crises. “There is a war going on in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Stopping this war is the easiest thing for me. I love saving people from being killed,” Trump said confidently.

The president, known for his dramatic diplomatic claims, suggested that while his main focus was running the United States, he took great satisfaction in “ending wars” across the world. “Although I do understand that Pakistan attacked, or there is an attack going on with Afghanistan — that’s an easy one for me to solve if I have to,” he added, implying that peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan could be achieved quickly under his mediation.

Trump claims to have ‘saved millions of lives’

Trump also revisited his past involvement in easing tensions between Pakistan and India, asserting that his intervention had prevented a potential nuclear crisis. “Take the example of Pakistan and India — that situation could have been serious. The Prime Minister of Pakistan said that I saved millions of lives,” he remarked, adding that he was proud to have calmed one of the world’s most dangerous standoffs.

Calling himself a peacemaker, Trump further claimed to have “solved eight conflicts” in just eight months, listing Pakistan–India, Gaza, Armenia, and other regions among his successes. “Every time I solve one, they say, ‘If you solve the next one, you’ll get the Nobel Prize.’ But I didn’t get it,” he joked, hinting at his disappointment over not being awarded the peace honor.

“I’m good at solving wars”

Trump’s comments came shortly after his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which he said was part of his broader effort to bring peace between Ukraine and Russia. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said, “This will be my eighth war that I have solved, and I hear there is a war now going on between Pakistan and Afghanistan. I’ll have to wait till I get back — because I am good at solving wars.”

He went on to claim that he had resolved long-standing conflicts that had lasted decades, saying, “Think about India and Pakistan — wars going on for 31, 32, 37 years, with millions killed — I got every one of those done within a day, for the most part.”
