According to reports, a suspected police encounter took place in the Kot Sabzal area under the jurisdiction of CCD Rahim Yar Khan, in which Lahore police’s wanted suspect, Khawaja Tareef Gulshan alias Teefi Butt, was killed — allegedly by the firing of his own accomplices.

Sources revealed that Teefi Butt was being transferred to Lahore when his associates attacked the police convoy to free him.

Police immediately chased the attackers, leading to an exchange of gunfire between both sides.

It is reported that Teefi Butt was fatally struck by bullets fired by his own men.

Police have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, while his body has been shifted to the mortuary.

A heavy police contingent remains on the scene, and raids are underway to arrest the suspects. During the exchange of fire, police constable Noor Hassan was also injured.
