Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has spoken from the heart about the controversy surrounding his film Sardaarji 3, urging for fairness, understanding, and perspective in difficult times.
While performing at a concert in Kuala Lumpur, Diljit clarified that his film was shot months before the tragic Pahalgam attack, and yet he faced heavy criticism for working with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir.
Meanwhile, cricket matches between India and Pakistan continued even after the incident.
Expressing deep sorrow for the lives lost in the tragedy, Diljit said he prays for justice and accountability for those responsible.
With immense respect, he saluted the Indian flag on stage, reminding audiences that a Punjabi Sardar’s loyalty to his nation is unquestionable.
He also revealed why he had chosen silence until now, despite being labelled “anti-national.” For him, art, cinema, and music are bridges that connect hearts, not weapons that divide people.
His words were not only a defence of his work but also a plea for compassion, truth, and unity beyond borders.
