India’s covert role in Balochistan revealed, Washington tilts toward Pakistan: report

Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy and effective military diplomacy are gaining international recognition, with a recent report by The Diplomat highlighting Islamabad’s growing importance on the global stage.

The magazine noted a visible shift in U.S. priorities, suggesting Washington is now tilting toward Pakistan instead of India in regional affairs.

According to The Diplomat, the United States increasingly views Pakistan as a key player in South Asia and the Middle East. The report stressed that the recent Pakistan-India standoff in May 2025 significantly reshaped Washington’s assessment of military strength in the region, reinforcing Pakistan’s strategic value.

The publication further observed that India, once considered a central partner for the U.S., is now struggling to fulfill its role as a “net security provider.” On the other hand, Pakistan’s consistent readiness for dialogue and efforts toward regional stability have enhanced its credibility. The article stated that strengthening U.S.-Pakistan ties has brought their mutual interests into sharper alignment, making New Delhi anxious about its diminishing influence.

For years, India enjoyed a privileged position in American strategic thinking, but those days appear to be fading. The Diplomat underlined that while Pakistan extended peace offers, India responded with escalations, including covert interference in Balochistan and supporting targeted violence.

The May 2025 crisis, which raised fears of a nuclear clash, ultimately saw Washington step in to de-escalate tensions. However, India’s repeated refusal to engage in meaningful talks has injected uncertainty into its relations with the United States.
