The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts partly cloudy and humid weather throughout Karachi over the next 24 hours, with light rain and drizzle expected.

While nighttime lows could fall to about 28°C, the maximum temperature is probably going to stay between 31°C and 33°C.

A sea breeze blowing at almost 15 km/h and humidity levels hovering around 78 percent provide some respite from the otherwise oppressive heat.

According to forecasters, the likelihood of drizzle or light showers is highest in the early morning and late at night.

The National Disaster Management Authority has warned that, although there is no immediate threat from the weather pattern, Karachi and the nearby districts of Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, and Tharparkar may see heavier rainfall between August 30 and September 2, which could cause urban flooding.

In anticipation of potential downpours during the same time frame, other areas of Sindh, including Hyderabad, Dadu, Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Kashmore, have also been put on alert.

Although authorities have called for vigilance as the city prepares for potentially heavier rains in the coming days, residents of Karachi can currently anticipate reasonably comfortable conditions with a mix of cloud cover, humidity, and sea breeze.
