Pakistani content creator Talha Ahmed loses Instagram

Pakistani content creator Talha Ahmed, known for his unique and family-friendly videos, has faced a sudden setback after Instagram permanently disabled his account, leaving fans shocked and disappointed.

Talha, who recently received recognition from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was awarded a laptop and a cash prize of Rs1 million for his creative contributions. During the meeting at the Prime Minister’s House, Sharif also presented him with a commemorative shield, praising the young creator’s efforts.

However, the social media setback came unexpectedly. According to Talha’s brother, Taha Ahmed, Instagram suspended the account claiming Talha was under the age of 13 — a claim his family strongly denies. “Talha is currently 16 years old,” Taha said.

The family immediately appealed the decision, submitting school documents to verify Talha’s age since he does not yet have a national ID card. “Instagram asked for documents including a photo ID. Since Talha doesn’t have one, I submitted school records showing his name, photo, and date of birth,” Taha explained.

When asked if the account may have been targeted, Taha said: “We’re not sure whether it was reported or just a mistake, but the account has been permanently disabled.” Despite this setback, Talha plans to return to Instagram soon with a new account.

Fans quickly took to social media, expressing disappointment over the sudden disappearance of his Instagram profile. Talha has built a massive following across multiple platforms. On Instagram, he had 867,000 followers, with 194 posts and 117 accounts followed. His TikTok presence boasts over 121,000 followers and 1.9 million likes, while his YouTube channel has attracted 142,000 subscribers.
