Pakistan’s security forces have killed 33 terrorists in a major operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Balochistan’s Zhob district.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the militants belonged to the Indian-sponsored group Fitna-ul-Khawarij and were attempting to infiltrate into Pakistan on the night of August 7–8.

Troops detected their movement in the Sambaza area and responded with swift, precise action before the infiltrators could cross the border. The intense exchange left 33 terrorists dead, while Pakistani forces suffered no casualties.

ISPR confirmed that a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the site. Authorities say these supplies could have been used for large-scale attacks inside Pakistan.

A sanitization and follow-up operation is ongoing in the region to ensure no remaining threats escape detection. Security forces are combing the area to track down any militants still hiding nearby.

The military reiterated its “resolute and unwavering commitment” to protecting Pakistan’s borders and eliminating the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism. It also reaffirmed that infiltration attempts will be met with decisive force.
