Punjab government extends summer holidays again

In response to the scorching weather, the Punjab government has extended Punjab school summer holidays till August 31, 2025.

Punjab’s Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat confirmed the decision, saying the extension was made due to extreme heat and humidity.

Earlier, schools were scheduled to reopen on August 15. Now, students will return to classrooms on September 1, after the extended break.

“The harsh weather conditions leave no choice but to ensure the safety of children,” said Minister Rana Sikandar.

The revised schedule applies to all public and private schools across Punjab, covering both urban and rural areas.
