Naziruddin disappeared in 1997 during his return journey from Spat, riding horseback through treacherous terrain. Caught in a brutal snowstorm, he is believed to have fallen into a hidden glacier crevasse — and despite intense search efforts, no trace was ever found. He was ultimately declared missing.

That changed this week when local shepherds, observing the glacier’s slow retreat due to rising temperatures, spotted human remains near its edge. Authorities were immediately alerted.
