In a major development, the sons of former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan—Sulaiman and Qasim Khan—have formally submitted visa applications to the Pakistan High Commission in London, expressing their intent to visit Pakistan after a long absence.
The news was confirmed by Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, who shared the update on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). According to Aleema, the visa applications were submitted a few days ago and are currently under process, awaiting final clearance from the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad.
“The Pakistani High Commissioner has informed us that the approval of their applications is pending with the Interior Ministry,” Aleema Khan said, emphasizing that the visa approval process is now in the hands of the federal authorities. “Once clearance is granted by Islamabad, the Pakistan High Commission will proceed with issuing the visas.”
The High Commission has already acknowledged receipt of the applications and has forwarded all relevant documents and information to the concerned authorities in Pakistan. Both Sulaiman and Qasim Khan are now patiently awaiting a response, as the visa approval process moves forward through official channels.
While the motive behind their intended visit remains private, sources close to the family suggest it could be a personal visit amidst ongoing legal and political challenges faced by their father, who remains incarcerated following several high-profile convictions.

This marks the first public indication in years that Imran Khan’s sons visit to Pakistan could be imminent, drawing attention not only from political observers but also from supporters eager to see whether their presence will carry any symbolic or practical impact amid the PTI leader's continued absence from the political stage.
Previously, Kasim Khan, the younger son of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, gave a recent interview to US media detailing the harsh conditions his father is enduring in prison.
He revealed that Imran Khan was kept in complete darkness for ten consecutive days, describing it as a method of psychological torture. Kasim added that his father is forced to bathe with muddy water, is held in isolation, and is only allowed two hours of light daily. Medical care remains inadequate, and he has been cut off from all external communication.

When asked who he believes can help his father, Kasim pointed toward the United States, calling its support vital. He noted that Pakistani-Americans have played an active role in the “Free Imran Khan” campaign and that many have appealed directly to former President Donald Trump to intervene, as no political party in Pakistan is listening to international voices such as the United Nations or Amnesty International.
Kasim stressed that he has no interest in politics and only wants his father to be freed. He last saw Imran Khan two and a half years ago when Khan was injured in an assassination attempt.
He also mentioned a recent meeting with Richard Grenell, the US Special Representative known for negotiating prisoner releases, including from Venezuela. Kasim expressed hope after their discussion.
