Rizwan, Salman to Lead as PCB Unveils Squads for West Indies Tour

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially unveiled the national squads for the much-anticipated Pakistan West Indies limited series, featuring three T20 Internationals in the USA followed by a three-match ODI series in Trinidad & Tobago.

The announcement, made on Friday, revealed that Mohammad Rizwan will captain the ODI side, while Salman Ali Agha will lead the T20 team. The series promises exciting cricket as some of the country's top stars return to the field, alongside fresh faces eager to make their mark.

T20I series to kick off in USA

Pakistan's tour will begin with the T20I leg, scheduled from July 31 to August 3 at Central Broward Park in Lauderhill, Florida, USA. Salman Ali Agha will helm the squad, which includes the return of experienced pacers Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Right-handed batter Hasan Nawaz, the only uncapped player, is part of both the ODI and T20I squads—an exciting prospect for fans.

The full T20I squad includes:

Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan (wk), Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Sufyan Moqim.

Following their T20I series in Bangladesh, the team will land in the USA on Sunday, July 27, ahead of the opening T20 clash.

Rizwan to lead Pakistan in ODI series

The Pakistan West Indies limited series will then shift to the Caribbean, where the ODI matches will be played at the iconic Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad & Tobago from August 8 to 12.

Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan will lead the ODI squad, with Salman Ali Agha serving as vice-captain. Notably, Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi return to the ODI format, strengthening the side with their international experience.

The ODI squad includes: Mohammad Rizwan (captain), Salman Ali Agha (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Sufyan Moqim.
