Popular TikToker Kashif Zameer has been arrested for allegedly ridiculing the police uniform in a viral video, attracting widespread condemnation on social media.

The arrest was carried out outside Lahore, and he is being brought back to the city for further investigation.

According to police officials, Zameer appeared in a controversial video alongside a police officer, where the uniform and law enforcement were ridiculed. Authorities say such acts damage the image of law enforcement agencies and erode public trust.

SP Faisal Kamran confirmed the arrest and stated that a full investigation is underway. DIG Operations added that the police officer seen in the video has already been taken into custody.

An FIR was registered at Qila Gujjar Singh Police Station under the Pakistan Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) along with other serious charges. It states that Kashif Zameer not only shared the video mocking the police but later tried to cover up the act by using artificial intelligence to alter the uniform’s color in a second version of the clip.

Police officials stated that no one is above the law and such acts will be met with strict legal consequences. The case continues to unfold as authorities dig deeper into the incident.
